- What still hurts: Gas estimation lags whenever Ethereum mempool spikes, which cascades to Polygon because many users mirror settings.
Support volume stays low because users already know the interface. That's priceless when onboarding corporate teams.
Rainbow finally matured without losing the playful UX.
Rainbow used to be "the NFT kid." Now it handles swaps, bridges, and staking with equal polish. Push notifications reveal when bridging completes, and watchlists keep price-checkers from mashing refresh.
We surveyed beta testers: 81% of them said Rainbow's copywriting and color cues help them trust Polygon workflows. No other wallet got close.
Rainbow treats UX like stage lighting-users feel guided without noticing the cues.
Sequence dominates every gaming workshop we host.
Account abstraction, email logins, and gas sponsorship are tangible reasons studios adopt Sequence. We ran a tournament during Gitex; 400+ players minted assets on a CDK chain via Sequence without touching seed phrases.
- Analytics console now streams player transactions in near real time.
- DevRel team answers Discord tickets in minutes, which matters during launches.
- SDK updates keep parity between Unreal, Unity, and web builds.
Zengo proves seedless recovery can feel premium.
Families and small funds keep adopting Zengo because losing a seed phrase is no longer catastrophic. Biometrics and MPC flows feel natural, and support actually responds with context.
Downside? You need connectivity for co-signing, so we still recommend carrying a fallback wallet when traveling somewhere with patchy data.
Taho's community-first roadmap ships faster than most startups.
The DAO behind Taho prioritizes features raised in community votes. Browser extension UX still favors power users, but the plugin system means we can inject security nudges and compliance hints ourselves.
- Latest release adds spending caps per dapp.
- We pushed a custom module that warns ops teams if a contract lacks verified source code.
Newcomers we keep on the radar.
Not every prototype sticks, yet two new entrants deserve a mention:
- Obsidian Wallet: Built by former banking engineers; mixes MPC with compliance-friendly audit trails. Still in closed beta.
- Zephyr: Mobile-first wallet blending loyalty points with Polygon NFTs. UX is raw but their referral analytics are fresh.
We'll keep them in the lab for another quarter before recommending them publicly.
